Twitter and the Zombies
For those who were in or around central Sydney this afternoon, you may have noticed the zombie outbreak. The undead were wondering around Circular Quay, and they weren’t very sturdy on their feet. I tripped one over. It was fun. He fell right into another zombie, teehee.
In related news, Sydney suffered a few ‘big-go-booms’ today. There was a gas explosion in Bondi Junction, and the CBD was out of power, closing down the Harbour Tunnel and bringing the CBD to a standstill. Why am I talking about Bondi and Twitter? Well, I’ll tell you (you didn’t think I’d leave you in suspense, did you?)
I noticed a person mention, that the power was out where they were in the CBD, and they mentioned that the event was far spread as evidence by the twitter conversations on #blackout. Searching on Twitter for #blackout yielded results that indicated that half the CBD was in dismay. Also, people had likened it to the Apocalypse with even the Hon. Sen. Stephen Conroy taking responsibility. This goes to show you just how evil this man, spawn of Britania, really is.
Furthermore, it’s just another account of how the networking tool can be used on mass to convey current information happenings anywhere in the wide blue yonder.
